Static Discord Bot

BugzCloud.xyz operates Static, a self-hosted Discord music and radio bot. The following describes how Static handles user data:

• Static reads Discord message content only to process commands prefixed with ! (or a custom prefix set per server)
• Static accesses Discord user IDs, usernames, and server membership solely to execute requested commands (e.g. identifying who requested a song)
• No message content, user data, or listening history is written to disk or stored in any database
• Song queue data exists in memory only and is permanently deleted when Static leaves a voice channel or the bot restarts
• Static uses the Spotify API to resolve Spotify track links to YouTube equivalents. No Spotify account data is accessed or stored
• Static uses the Genius API to fetch publicly available song lyrics on request. No personal data is sent to Genius
• Static uses yt-dlp to download audio from YouTube and other supported platforms for playback. No downloaded audio is retained after playback ends
• Static does not share any user data with third parties beyond the API calls described above
